Corrections Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Our Commitment to Accuracy
ThugNews is committed to publishing accurate information. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently. We believe that a willingness to issue corrections is a sign of editorial strength, not weakness.
Types of Corrections
We distinguish between different types of corrections based on their severity:
- Minor Corrections: Typos, grammatical errors, broken links, or minor factual clarifications that do not change the substance of the article. These are corrected silently within the article text.
- Significant Corrections: Factual errors that affect the accuracy or meaning of the article, such as incorrect dates, misattributed quotes, or erroneous financial figures. These corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with a timestamp and a brief description of what was changed.
- Retractions: In rare cases where an entire article is found to contain fundamentally inaccurate information, the article will be retracted. A retraction notice will replace the article content, explaining the reason for the retraction.
How Corrections Are Displayed
When a significant correction is made, we update the article with the following:
- An updated "Last updated" date displayed below the original publication date.
- A correction note at the bottom of the article explaining the original error and the corrected information.
- The corrected text replaces the erroneous text within the article body.
We do not delete articles to hide errors. Transparency is a core editorial value at ThugNews.
How to Report an Error
If you believe you have found a factual error in any ThugNews article, we encourage you to report it. Please provide the following information:
- The URL of the article containing the error.
- A description of the specific error.
- Supporting evidence or sources that demonstrate the correct information.
You can submit correction requests via:
- Email: [email protected]
- Our contact page
We review all correction requests within 48 hours and will update the article if the error is confirmed.
Editorial Accountability
All corrections are reviewed and approved by our Editor-in-Chief, Malik Rivers, before publication. Our editorial team takes full responsibility for the accuracy of our content and is committed to maintaining the trust of our readers.
